For Immediate Release: April 17, 2014; (Toronto, ON); Following up the stunning "Recover" music video released last month, BMBSHL debuts "Strike", also filmed in Havana, Cuba and Calgary, Alberta. BMBSHL is the brainchild of Edmonton singer, songwriter and producer Brenna MacQuarrie whose self titled album was released on April 15, 2014.

"The portion of "Strike" that we shot in Havana was a lot of fun," says MacQuarrie, "aside from the fact that I was wearing stilettos on cobblestone streets. We drew a hilarious amount of attention from locals and tourists alike asking for photos and following us around the city, not even knowing who we were. We were able to find some really cool characters who agreed to take part in the filming." The group's Cuban liaison César, arranged the tour, helped translate when problems arose, and set up the use the ’54 Chevy Bel Air car for the video.
"Strike" was directed by Jay Sparrow and features actors Misery and Ripley, aka SPIIVAK. The Infinity Boxes that play such a huge role in the visual power of the video were created by Heather McLean. McLean built the giant and fragile units in her Calgary studio where they shot those elements of the production.
"Misery and Ripley were so easy to work with and were excited about the project as much as we were," says MacQuarrie. "Carly Flint (Makeup & Costumes) had her work cut out for her that day, three subjects and five looks all together, but as we experienced in Cuba, we experienced in Calgary; our chemistry as a group was perfect and we were all able to capture exactly what we needed."
"The other remarkable item in the video is the headpiece I wear. It was custom made for me by Jon Daniels (theringlord.com). He built the piece on short notice and it’s a signature piece of imagery in the video."
