Round Hill Music And Trey Bruce Join Forces In A Worldwide Exclusive Publishing Deal

Bookmark and Share

Round Hill Music is excited to announce signing an exclusive worldwide publishing deal and joint venture with songwriter/producer Trey Bruce.

"I'm really excited to be represented by this group of talented executives and music shepherds. In some ways Round Hill is a bit of a homecoming for me, and I couldn't be more thrilled and inspired," Bruce says.

Bruce is an important part of the Nashville songwriting community. His first country demo became an immediate hit for Shelby Lynn, followed by a list of cuts for Randy Travis, including three #1 singles in a row: "Look Heart No Hands", "Spirit Of A Boy, Wisdom Of A Man", and "Whisper My Name", which Bruce penned 100% himself. Those were followed by more hits for Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, Trace Adkins, LeAnn Rimes, Carrie Underwood, Gary Allen, Reba McEntire,Gloriana, and Marty Stuart, to name just a few. Trey's first venture into television resulted in an Emmy for Best Song for "Where There's Hope", followed by featured uses of "This Is Your Moment" on The Biggest Loser and American Idol, among others. In 2013, he celebrated his third #1 Australian smash with Dianna Corcoran's, "Therapy", along with the Rick Rubin produced ZZ Top cut, "Heartache In Blue", and Alabama's first studio single in over a decade, "All Americans", another 100% self written gem.

Jonnie "Most" Davis, Senior Vice President of A&R at Round Hill Music says, "Trey and I were old friends from the first day we met. He is relentless in his pursuit of song greatness and has never been one to chase fads, take shortcuts, or rest on his prior achievements, which are many. Trey has a well established pedigree in Nashville, and I couldn't be more proud to have him join the Round Hill family."

Shortly after arriving in Nashville, Bruce signed with MCA/Universal Music in 1989. Three years later, he co-founded Big Tractor Music with Scott Hendricks, where his endless hours in the studio paid off again, as his phone started ringing to produce records. Bruce's productions include Chris LeDoux's critically acclaimed One Road Man, Trace Adkins' More, Chrome, Comin' On Strong and Greatest Hits Vol. 1, Lynyrd Skynyrd's Gods & Guns, and Rebecca Lynn Howard's Forgive. After leaving Big Tractor, Trey took a job as Director of A&R with Chrysalis Music and opened the Nashville office, where he signed and developed Sony artist Chris Janson and American Idol's Kree Harrison.

Round Hill Music was founded by Josh Gruss in 2010 as a boutique-sized music publisher offering high-touch administration and creative services to its songwriters. Since then, Round Hill Music has signed exclusive worldwide publishing deals with some of the industry's most successful songwriters, while also building a stellar catalog of iconic songs.

Round Hill's exclusive worldwide publishing deals now include an extensive range of talent such as prolific songwriter and producer, Marti Frederiksen (Mick Jagger, Def Leppard, Pink, Aerosmith, Carrie Underwood). composer Chris Caswell (Daft Punk, Happily Ever After, Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Muppets), singer/songwriter Tatu (Eve, DJ Headhunterz), and Brooklyn rock bandAmerican Authors. After opening up a Nashville office, acquiring the Big Tractor catalog, and signing on new singer and songwriter Lindsay Lee, they will be adding Trey Bruce to this expanding list of successful and exciting business partnership ventures for 2014.
