Vegamoore Has A Lot Of ‘Gaul’

The rising stars of EDM Vegamoore are joining today’s global celebrations of marijuana by releasing “Gaul,” the first single from their new four-EP project Plurologie, dGenerate Records announced today.

Although Vegamoore’s Vincent Vega and Thomas Moore are in Italy today, they’re supporting the thousands of people attending 420 festivals across America and around the world. “Gaul” has been made available to many of the DJs at these events.

The single marks the launch of Vegamoore’s year-long, four-EP series Plurologie, the first of which arrives June 24. Plurologie is a reference to the acronym PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, Respect) popular in the EDM scene, but “Gaul” may seem confusing at first.

According to dGenerate Records chief Michael Jones, the name was chosen because “Gaul historically was the starting point for what is now much of Europe. Even more notably, it was the origin of Druidism which taught harmony and respect for all life, the very themes of Plurologie.”

The next single from Plurologie will be released May 20, also on dGenerate.

Vegamoore was born in 2009 when rock drummer Vega formed a musical collaboration with longtime friend Thomas Moore, a classically-trained pianist and rock musician himself. The pair played their first sets that year, igniting a rise to stardom that continues today.

With an insatiable appetite for sound, these two guys from Italy have produced 11 singles, 2 EPs, and dozens of remixes since they played their first sets together in 2009. The duo have opened for Fatboy Slim, Steve Aoki, Zombie Nation, Atari Teenage Riot, The Bloody Beetroots, Erol Alkan, D.I.M., Roni Size, Gosteffects. IKKI, Belzebass and Anthony Rother.

The pair have had an intensely busy 2014 already, releasing their “Hell-O” EP in January and a collaboration with Otto Van Schirach, “F**k My Brain Out,” in February.
