On Friday May 23rd, New Island Entertainment will host an entire evening of the finest up and coming live music that the big apple has to offer. The event will be held at the Lit lounge, conveniently located in NYC's NOHO section. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the night is started off by Brother Saints, a new young trio fronted by Steen Schimdt that has an blues feel mixed with an aggressive edge and psychedelic undertones. Argon, giving the audience a live taste of their insightful yet modern and alluring sound that will be put forth on their upcoming debut LP. Next up is Primate House, an indie rock band from the Hudson valley that gives us a glimpse into the future of alternative rock with lyrics that sing loudly resonating the modern human condition paired with appropriate drum fills, bass lines and guitar riffs. Then we The Micks, a four piece that has been bringing their heavy hitting old school rock sound to clubs and house parties around the North East successfully pulling each and every person in attendance into their wall of sound. Followed by The Freaky baby daddies, who have managed to fuse together a new millennium rock sound with the spirited 1960's sound reminiscent of Smoky Robinson and Al Green.

Last but not least, we have Of Beauty and Madness. The female fronted sextet that has a wide array of sound in their repertoire from laid back acoustic guitar, energetic heavy riffs and folk laden movements which are all topped off by the powerful yet seductive vocals of their lead singer Nora Stock. Of Beauty and Madness will be performing songs from their debut album, Litany recently released by Forever Autumn Records.

If you are looking for a night of live music for an affordable price that will provide you with a variety of sounds to satisfy all your musical tastes, this a night you wont want to miss!
