Robbie Williams’ Drummer, Karl Brazil, Uses His BC2 In Front Of Millions On ‘Swings Both Way’ Tour

Karl Brazil, Robbie Williams’ drummer of choice for his ‘Swings Both Ways’ Tour will be using his Porter & Davies BC2 drum monitoring system as he plays to millions this summer. The huge forty date European arena tour kicks off this week in Hungary and moves to Austria, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland and the UK, continuing in September across Australia.

A-list session drummer and master of pop, Karl, came to prominence recording and playing with James Blunt and has gone on to play with Take That, Olly Murs, Leona Lewis, Girls Aloud, Joss Stone, Feeder and of course Robbie Williams. Known for his unique set up, using a right hand kit despite being left handed, he is respected worldwide for his precision, power, natural versatility and faultless feel. When talking about using his BC2 Karl said ‘it’s the biggest kick up the arse I’ve ever had! A great, easy and efficient way to enhance the feel and low end from your drums. There is no looking back from here. Thanks for bringing more arse to my performance!’

‘Swing Both Ways’ takes Robbie Williams tenth studio album, of the same name, out on tour. The album made history when it became the UK’s 1000th number one album in November 2013, selling 109,000 copies in its first week. The tour, inspired by classic old musicals with a variety feel, will see Robbie perform tracks from last years album and the 2001 ‘Swing When You’re Winning’, backed by a timeless big band, eight dancers and joined by special guest, Pete Conway, his dad.

The BC2 is a silent tactile drum monitor that allows drummers to feel the drums by letting them sense the vibrations of the bass drum. It offers drummers greater control and so gives more confidence to groove and really enjoy their performance. It is simple, portable, powerful and beautifully engineered to enhance studio and live playing for any drummer at any level.
