California nonprofit Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS, est. 2004) launches the new book "Digital Da Vinci: Computers in Music" coauthored / edited by IFERS' president Newton Lee and published by Springer Science+Business Media (est. 1842). The new book opens with the interviews of music mogul Quincy Jones, MP3 inventor Karlheinz Brandenburg, Tommy Boy founder Tom Silverman, and entertainment attorney Jay L. Cooper whose client list includes Katy Perry, Jerry Seinfeld, Mel Brooks, and Sheryl Crow.

"Given the, oft times, unorthodox ways of the music business, Newton Lee's writing presents a clear and concise view of a creative business so many admire," said Brad Mason LeBeau, founder of PRO MOTION (est. 1983).

A strong supporter of science, technology, engineering and mathematics programs in schools, The Black Eyed Peas founding member will.i.am announced in July 2013 his plan to study computer science. "Digital Da Vinci: Computers in Music" also features internationally renowned authors and music researchers. The new book is available on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, other bookstores and libraries worldwide.

Starting in May 2014, IFERS (est. 2004) offers its full-service music management & mentoring for artists worldwide. Newton Lee, president of IFERS and coauthor/editor of the "Digital Da Vinci: Computers in Music" book, has worked with many award-winning songwriters, music producers, vocal producers, remixers, mastering engineers, promoters, music video directors, Oscar winners, and Grammy recipients. One of his projects landed a song at #9 on the U.K. Music Week Pop Chart and #12 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Chart for 7 and 9 consecutive weeks.

IFERS' full-Service music management & mentoring assists local and international artists with the planning, production, tracking, mixing, mastering, remixes, promotion, and marketing of their music including music videos, websites, social media, mobile games, and national Internet radio with over 1.5 million monthly visitors. IFERS helps artists to succeed and to avoid pitfalls in the music business. The full-service music management & mentoring is a charitable initiative to support all genres of music that promote peace, love, and freedom around the world.
