Sweden-based music creators' rights organization STIM appoints Mr. Karsten Dyhrberg Nielsen as CEO. Dyhrberg Nielsen is at present CEO of Nordic copyright management organization NCB, Nordisk Copyright Bureau, as well as its subsidiary NMP, Network of Music Partners.

Sweden-based music creators' rights organization STIM announces the appointment of Karsten Dyhrberg Nielsen as new CEO. Danish citizen Dyhrberg Nielsen succeeds former STIM CEO Kenth Muldin, who stepped down last February. At present, Karsten Dyhrberg Nielsen is CEO of Nordic copyright management organization NCB (Nordisk Copyright Bureau), based in Copenhagen, Denmark. NCB manages recording and copying rights, and is owned by STIM and its counterparts in Denmark, Finland and Norway. Dyhrberg Nielsen has served as NCB CEO since 2008, and has since 2012 also been CEO of its subsidiary NMP (Network of Music Partners), which is owned by NCB and PRS for Music.

"I have been offered the opportunity to lead an organization which faces crucial challenges, but also is in a unique position to meet them. While I regret having to leave NCB after a great experience of six years, I am excited about the chance to further develop STIM, a well-established and influential copyright management organization. I am grateful for this vote of confidence from the STIM Board of Directors, and look forward to start working in Stockholm," says Karsten Dyhrberg Nielsen.

"Karsten is the ideal candidate for this job. With his vast knowledge of the rights' management business, combined with his widespread international network and long-time leadership experience, he is the right person to continue the establishment of STIM as a modern organization with a central position in today's digital, cross-border music economy. We look forward to welcoming Karsten to Stockholm," says STIM Chair Kjell-Ĺke Hamrén.

During the coming months, Karsten Dyhrberg Nielsen will continue to serve in his previous position at NCB and NMP, as the Boards of Directors of each organization decide on how to structure future management. Karsten Dyhrberg Nielsen plans to take office in Stockholm, Sweden, during early August. Until that time, STIM interim CEO Alfons Karabuda will remain in charge.
