Buffalo Rome Is Taking China By Storm
Shanghai, May 2014 ˆ We are proud to announce the next China Tour of Buffalo Rome in 2014. This May, the trio playing authentic American West Coast Country Rock will team-up with the Chinese conductor Long Yu and visit Guangzhou and Beijing to enchant their audience with a unique mixture of Country melodies full of depth and soul, and the sophisticated and timeless sound of two of China's finest Symphony Orchestras.
In 2012, Buffalo Rome presented their innovative approach to American Country to the Chinese public for the first time. In cooperation with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra conducted by Long Yu at the Shanghai MISA Festival, their fusion of old American Country classics and original songs with the tunes of classical instruments created waves of enthusiasm and excitement. The excellent craftsmanship of the three musicians behind Buffalo Rome made this cooperation possible.
The concert was such a success that the band decided to return to China this year, partnering up with the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra on May 22nd in Guangzhou and the China Philharmonic Orchestra on May 25th in Beijing. Again, Long Yu, the preeminent conductor in China today, will act as maestro on both concerts.
Bringing rootsy, original Country music to China
The members of Buffalo Rome Michael Visconti, Mark Schaffel, and Kevin Douglas have secured their individual places in the American music businesses; all three have been working as songwriters, producers and performers for over 10 years.
The approach the music of Buffalo Rome is unconditional. They have never tried to follow any trends or sound like a typical Nashville country band. For them the philosophy "music first" says it all.
The rich harmonies of their three combined voices even impressed Will Rambeaux, the hit songwriter behind #1 songs like "Wild One" by Faith Hill or "Hold on to Me" by Michael Montgomery. After hearing Buffalo Rome's original material, he decided to become the band's producer.
Since then, Buffalo Rome has extensively toured the United States and visited China in 2011 and 2012 with stops in Zhangbei, Shanghai, Xi‚an, Leshan and Chengdu.
After they received a warm and enthusiastic welcome by music fans all over the country, they have now decided to come back and celebrate their love for the Chinese culture and musical landscape.
About Buffalo Rome
Buffalo Rome was born when three excellent musicians from Nashville joined forces. Merging a rootsy feel reminiscent of the 1970's West Coast Country Rock scene with today's modern Country influences, Buffalo Rome brings a vinyl vibe to the digital age. Their stunning harmonies and expert musicianship have wowed audiences across the United States.
Their appeal is broad; apart from original Western Country music, they can also perform pieces ranging from Pop to Rock or Metal. Above that, they shared the stage with a vast array of Country and Rock legends as Kenny Loggins or Montgomery Gentry.
Buffalo Rome was born in 2007. Though it may seem as if the band has only played together for a short time, they have already been seen on the famous "Great American Country" TV show and been featured in the pages of "Country Weekly Magazine" while touring all over the US including most of the big cities. With songs like "Big Sky" and "Ocean In Montana", they are truly putting the West back into Country Western music. Each of the musicians behind Buffalo Rome is highly experienced and excels in a multitude of musical styles.
