Rotosound At Download, Sonisphere, V Festival And Reading With More Than Twenty Great Bands

Whatever the festival, there will be a guitarist or bass player using Rotosound strings, playing to millions of fans, on some of the most prestigious stages in the world this summer.

Kicking off the festival season at this year’s Download festival Rotosound endorsees Mikey Demus, guitarist with Skindred, will be using his Rotosound signature set of strings and Rival Sons’ guitarist, Scott Holiday will be using his new Rotosound RFB-1 Re-Issue Fuzz Pedal. Other Rotosound artists playing include John Hoare, guitar and Martyn Millard, bass, of Orange Goblin and Ginger Wildheart with his band The Wildhearts plus Dave McPherson, lead singer of Inme and established talented singer songwriter.

Next up is Sonisphere festival celebrating 40 years of festivals at Knebworth, featuring Run To The Hills legends Iron Maiden with Steve Harris using his Rotosound signature strings. Exploding on to stage will be The Defiled, and Olly Burden with Chris Frisbee of the Hounds will be using their Rotosound strings to bring some big beat chaos to the great show. Other Rotosound endorsees include Jono Yates and Nic Montgomery with the rising rock band Blitz Kids, the incendiary Max Raptor with the band of the same name and the hardcore Stampin Ground.

Rocking the V Festival are one of punks longest surviving and most continuously successful bands, The Stranglers and driving their sound is stalwart Rotosound endorsee and bass player Jean-Jacques (JJ) Burnel. Plus supporting the very talented, multi award winning Katy B is the accomplished bassist Henry Guy.

Traditionally rounding off the summer festival season is the huge Leeds/Reading festivals which see’s a host of Rotosound artists playing the stages including djent rappers Hacktivist (bass player Josh Gurner), Britpop revivalists Peace (bassist Sam Kosser), the psychedelic Temples (bass player Tom Warmsley) and garage rock band Circa Waves (bass player Sam Rourke).

Killer rock band Pendulum with Peredur AP Gwynedd, guitarist and bass player Gareth McGrillen are headlining the BBC Radio 1 Dance stage, while You Me At Six guitarists Max Helyer and Chris Miller plus Matt Barnes on bass play third from headline on the main stage on Sunday.
