On Saturday 28 June 2014, Jägermeister will present Localized, the third of a new series of music events designed to connect leading figures from Shanghai's underground music industry.

By providing a platform for collaboration between local musicians and DJs, Localized aims to support artists and venues that are part of China's growing underground music scene, and provide audiences with a showcase of the best homegrown talent.

Following two successful electronic music events at Logo and Siva, Yuyintang will host the first live band show for Jӓgermeister Localized in Shanghai.

Expect a dynamic musical spectrum from three of Shanghai's most cutting-edge bands, spanning punk, rock, metal and hardcore. Two guest DJs will keep Yuyintang's hardwood bouncing till the wee hours.

By understanding each artist's contribution to the local music scene, Jägermeister aims to connect the dots that make up Shanghai's rich culture of underground music.

One of the key players in Shanghai's live band scene, The Top Floor Circus has released five albums to date and moves seamlessly between folk, rock and punk. Their almost exclusive use of Shanghainese has won them a special place in the hearts of local fans.

Established in 2001 and reborn in 2006, Screaming Savior is a proponent of melodic black metal and has received critical acclaim within China's festival circuit. Their latest recording from 2011 includes the use of a full orchestra.

The show will open with newcomers Return To Sender, a band of post-90s musicians who express themselves with a screamo take on heavy hardcore.

DJ Bo will thread the acts together before Rob Young brings the night home with his vast collection of punk rock, indie and Brit-pop.

Doors open at 9pm on Saturday 28 June 2014
