Los Angeles, CA - Rising pop singer, Tan is back at it with the release of his new single “If I Could I Would”, available now for FREE on Noisetrade. This is the second track off his four-song EP, A Summer to Remember, which held on the Top-100 list of iTunes in Malaysia during its first week of release. “If Could I Would” stands out as a summer jam that leaves you lost in a world of romance and catchy beats, accentuated by his impeccable vocal range and top-notch production quality. You can purchase the latest single from Tan now on iTunes.

This is his latest single, following his previous hit “Heat Wave.” From its initial moments, “If I Could I Would” sets the scene with a driving melody and flowing chorus. Along with rolling drums and brilliant guitar riffs, the song adds another layer of complexity with wistful, indie-pop synths, further driving home the daydream quality the song embodies. The lyrics depict a man reflecting on the one that got away, and the things he would do for her if she were to leave her man. His heartfelt sentiments and angst are intensely delivered lyrically and bring you back to a time when you let that special someone get away. We’ve all been there, wishing for a second chance and imagining a world with the one you love. Tan reproduces this image so authentically it will leave you with chills.

Tan’s life story is arguably as impressive as his songwriting. Born on the island of Penang in Malaysia, Tan refused to become part of the status quo of Malaysian culture. As he reflects, "studying, getting good grades, and going to a university are supposed to lead to a perfect life. But I believe that you only live once, so you’ve got to do it the way you want. My perfect life is to have a career in music.” Chasing his dream of music and latching onto a lifelong goal of making it big, Tan appeared on television Astro Kid’s Talent Quest Season One at a tender age of ten. Eventually, he enrolled in online courses at the Berklee College of Music to accompany his growing knowledge of audio engineering. He travelled halfway across the world to Hollywood and enrolled in the College of Contemporary Music, Musicians Institute. He surrounded himself with some of the richest minds in the business. “I’ve met some of the most talented people and music business experts who have inspired me as an artist.” Among these tastemakers was producer Mario Marchetti, who has worked with artists such as Demi Lovato, Jennifer Lopez, and Capitol Records’ Evren Göknar, who has teamed up with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Mariah Carey. Reuben Cohen, know for his recent work on "Happy" by Pharrell Williams also stepped in and mastered the track. Together, they helped shape Tan’s emotional songwriting that grew all the way from a young Malaysian boy with a lifelong dream of music.

Tan is among the few that can confidently say their dreams bare coming to fruition. With this new single, Tan is further proving himself as a rising star in the pop world. So sit back and give “If I Could I Would” a listen, and support an up and coming talented artist with a big heart. Keep up with Tan at www.TanOfficial.com and grab your FREE track on Noisetrade!
