ABOUT HERO THE BAND
Atlanta pop rockers Hero the Band consists of four blood brothers who are all multi talented and
focused together on one big dream. Justin Barnett, Jarramy Barnett, DJ Barnett, and Nick Barnett were raised in a musically inclined family where their parents, several uncles, aunts, cousins, and grandparents sang. With music in their blood, the brothers started singing in their church at an early age, and eventually formed Hero the Band in 2008.
Initially combining a mixture of R & B and soul from artists like The Temptations, Earth, Wind
& Fire, and Michael Jackson, Hero continued to experiment and expand their music horizon. Their
sound eventually evolved into a combination of the Rock, Alt, and Pop influences they grew up
listening to such as The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Queen, Elton John, U2, Lenny Kravitz, Coldplay,
and Outkast. These influences set the platform for their current song crafting which features
electro pop synthesizers, dynamic melodies, layered harmonies, and searing guitar licks.
Sharing their emotions with the world through music, these brothers also share the songwriting, lead vocals, and even instruments. This is exemplified on their new single "Fools Gold", which features their infectious vocal harmonies and instant reactive melodies. Produced by Donovan Jarvis and mixed at Madison Studios in Atlanta, "Fools Gold" is set to be released with a national marketing campaign at radio and media followed by a world premiere music video.
When they are not in the studio writing and recording new songs, the band is out performing live to their rapidly increasing fan base. Word has quickly spread about their performances, captivating audiences with their un-caged energy and mesmerizing stage presence. The band has performed at such venues as the Masquerade, Phillip's Arena (National Anthem for the Hawks), and as the opening act for the legendary "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" band, Mother's Finest, and recently in San Diego for Sunset Sessions Rock 2014 at Belly Up Tavern.
