MOOV Enriches Music App To Give Music Enthusiasts Greater Convenience When Enjoying, Sharing And Experiencing Music

Hong Kong's first paid digital music service brand MOOV, a division of PCCW Limited, has released a redesigned version of its MOOV music app for iOS and Android devices. With this updated app, MOOV gives consumers greater ease of access and an enhanced experience to enjoying and sharing music.

As Hong Kong's largest multi-platform digital music service, MOOV continuously develops new platforms and redesigns its content to provide the best experience to music enthusiasts. Its latest music app features the patent-pending LyricSnap!TM which merges music with social media - users can create an image that expresses their current emotions by capturing the lyrics and placing them on their self-taken or favorite photos, or select from one of the 1,000 pre-installed LyricSnapTM images, and sharing the image on their favorite social media platforms such as Facebook, WeChat, Whatsapp, Weibo and Instagram.

Music enthusiasts will also appreciate the highly curated Playlist Central, which has been developed in partnership with more than 20 of the city's top singers, songwriters, music critics and DJs. It features more than 1,000 playlists, and is categorized to allow users to easily access them to match with their emotions during everyday activities, be they working out at the gym, chilling at the park, or at gatherings with friends and families.

Over the past 12 months, MOOV conducted over 100 consumer focus groups and telephone surveys to garner insights on customers' preferred ways to consume music. This has enabled it to redesign its offerings to match the progression of consumers' tastes.

"The redesigned MOOV music app gives customers a more user-friendly and creative way to enjoy, share and experience music. We continuously improve our service with the goal of making MOOV the most preferred music service brand among Chinese communities around the world," she added.

As a pioneer in the paid digital music market in Hong Kong, MOOV has grown to become one of the most popular music platforms in the territory, thanks to the support of many local and overseas record and artist management companies. This has also enabled MOOV to expand its business cross-border with last year's partnership with South New Media, China Telecom and BesTV to become the first overseas paid music service brand in mainland Chinese paid digital music market. The success of this expansion has paved way for MOOV to establish presence in more mainland provinces and other overseas markets in the future.
