Killers Walk Among Us Self-titled Album To Be Released Worldwide

‘Killers Walk Among Us’ self-titled album to be released worldwide on 26th August 2014

Following its release in Sweden, the band’s debut (and final) album will now be released via digital channels in all regions including UK & US on A Tenderversion Recording.

Killers Walk Among Us was formed in Gothenburg and centred around Stefan Holmberg, an incredibly creative musician, much respected in the Swedish music community, who passed away earlier this year following a struggle with depression. During the last ten years these ten songs have come together through the need to express and process feelings.

Killers Walk Among Us was part of Gothenburg’s vibrant music scene, the members’ experienced roots winding through every second of their well-developed music. Like other Swedish acts, (see: Hunt, Khoma, Cult Of Luna and labelmates September Malevolence) KWAU redefines bit by bit what the ever-present term postrock can be synonymous with. By incorporating strong elements of indie rock, vocals and lots of choirs on top of the drive, KWAU merge two worlds seamlessly.

This story doesn’t have a happy ending, but silence is not an option, and by leaving this record behind, Stefan has shown that together we can illuminate bad endings. The album, Stefan’s great and final work, is way too big and means far too much to the label and to the band, to be forgotten. Although there will be no more music created by Killers Walk Among Us without Stefan Holmberg, this record has already made waves in the Swedish music scene and in the hands of music fans, may prove to leave a bigger impression than perhaps even he could have anticipated.

The self-titled album has already been released and promoted in Sweden, but will be released in all other regions via digital stores & streaming sites on 26th August 2014.
