Peermusic Restructures Its Nashville Offices

peermusic, the world's largest independent music publisher, has announced a restructuring of its Nashville offices. Under the new regime, Michael Knox is being appointed to Vice President, Craig Currier has been named Vice President Advertising Markets and Kim Wiggins has been promoted to Senior Creative Director. The Nashville office continues to report to Kathy Spanberger, peermusic President and Chief Operating Officer, who made the announcement of the reorganization.

Said Spanberger, "Michael, Kim and Craig are some of the most respected and successful individuals in our business. Because of their talents, I have no doubt that peermusic and the writers we represent will not only continue to stay at the top of the country charts, but will also become even more dominant in the Advertising field."

Formerly peermusic's Senior Creative Director for Nashville, Knox is most noted for his production work with country superstar Jason Aldean (2011 CMA Award for Album of The Year - Jason Aldean's MY KINDA PARTY), but with 14 number one songs, over 25 Million singles and 10 million albums sold, Knox has many production credits to his name including Thomas Rhett ("It Goes Like This" 3 weeks #1, 50 million + one-week record breaking audience impressions), Trace Adkins, Kelly Clarkson (collaboration w/Aldean on "Don't You Wanna Stay"), Bush Hawg, Ludacris (collaboration w/Aldean on "Dirt Road Anthem"), Luke Bryan & Eric Church (collaboration w/Aldean on "The Only Way I Know" ) Montgomery Gentry, Randy Owen, Rachel Farley, Josh Thompson, Frankie Ballard, Hank Williams Jr., Brother Trouble and Chuck Wicks, amongst others. In 2013 Knox and peermusic earned recognition for the ASCAP Song of the Year "How Country feels" (Randy Houser).

Craig Currier heads up the U.S. advertising markets division for peermusic North America. In this capacity, Craig manages all aspects of the division and is responsible for developing and implementing business strategies, quoting and licensing on all commercial projects as well as all creative activities including music searches, artist development and original music production. Currier established the advertising markets division in 2000 and under his guidance, the division continues an impressive growth rate providing music for hundreds of national spots including T-Mobile, Microsoft Windows, Subaru, Fiat, Bank of America, Pillsbury, Citgo, Pringles, Pontiac, Visa, Nike, Delta, Macy's, Lincoln, GM, Kohl's, Guitar Hero and Covergirl. GE's global branding initiative, which was nominated for an Emmy, utilized the peer controlled Donovan classic, "Catch the Wind."

Kim Wiggins joined peermusic Nashville in September of 2011, having previously worked for Sony/ATV Music Publishing as their Creative Manager. With a passion for songs and those who create them, Kim's creative instincts have been a huge asset for the writers and catalogs she currently represents including Neil Thrasher, Vicky McGehee, Jaron Boyer, Rachel Farley, Shaun Ames and Michael Tyler. Under the leadership of Michael Knox, Kim will oversee all day to day for peermusic Nashville's office, writers, staff and catalogue .
