MusicDish*China announced its Top 5 Indie Song Chart for the period 07/12-07/18/2014 based on aggregate plays on Chinese streaming portals, including Ximalaya, Diandian, Lizhi.fm and YuYin.fm. The songs were promoted through MusicDish*China Song Blast, a low-cost song promotional service to help introduce Western independent music to the biggest music market through Chinese streaming and social media platforms (http://www.musicdish.com/china/music/singlepromo.php3).

Italian hard rock band Armonight's "Night of illusions" led the pack with nearly 5,000 plays, followed by singer/songwriter Sarantos' "Nothing To Hide," which saw the biggest increase in plays that week. Santa Barbara-based GrooveShine's "Chasing A Freak" and Teen Rock Band Bulletproof Snow "Punished for My Innocence" also joined this week's chart while Craymo's "Love You More" charted for the 2nd week in a row.
