TL;DR Gives You 'No Time For Sleep'

TL;DR's second album no time for sleep comes out in CD on August 1, 2014. The album release party at the Frequency in Madison, WI will also be the band's reunion show, and its last show for the foreseeable future.

The rich, textured, layered sound of the album isn't studio trickery: what you hear is the sound of six friends playing together live in studio, as faithfully captured on tape by Greg Norman. The band spent four days at Electrical Audio in April, 2013, recording day and night, sleeping at the studio, breaking only for tacos and coffee.

About TL;DR

Based in Madison's eclectic indie rock scene, TL;DR plays updated garage rock, new wave, and surf rock. The six-member band came together in 2011, and placed fourth in the Isthmus Battle of the Bands the same year.
TL;DR played countless shows in Madison and Milwaukee honing their songs and live performance. “Within My Reach” has been played on WSUM, and the band also played live on air in 2013. “Michael Henchard” was featured on the Controlled Chaos compilation album.

Their debut, TL;DR is everything you are, was recorded on a cold February weekend, at Dacha studios in Madison and released on June 21, 2013, at a farewell double show as part of Make Music Madison. The band has been on hiatus since then.

Other accolades include a mention in the national AV Club for having one of the worst band names, and eventually having the most guitar-playing doctors of chemistry. The band's twitter, @tldrband, has taken on a life of its own, including live-tweeting an exclusive dress rehearsal of Dracula: A Rock Ballet.

“In addition to being a love letter to TL;DR's fans, Everything You Are is an ideal summer album.”
'TL;DR court Madison nerds with surfy rock and seductive scents', Isthmus feature article by Jessica Steinhoff:

“The AV Club may hate the band's name, but there is no doubt that the music is worth a listen. The eclectic sound and high energy performance despite the tiny stage was actually quite endearing.”
