MTS Management Group is happy to announce Nik Pizzigoni, host of the “Whiskey And Cigarettes” country radio show, has been nominated for Radio Personality of the Year at the 2014 Artists Music Guild Heritage Awards. The awards ceremony will be held on November 15, 2014, at the AG Convention Center in Monroe, NC. A live broadcast of the event is also being planned. Past winners include Stella Parton, Chubby Checker, Barbara Mandrell and Terri Gibbs.

This Sunday, July 27th, 2014, Nik will be airing his exclusive interview with Lee Roy, from the award-winning bluegrass duo, The Roys. Lee is promoting The Roys’ new single, “No More Lonely,” from their forthcoming September release, The View. The interview will air during Sunday’s live broadcast between 11am-3pm ET on www.militarybrotherhoodradio.com. It will be repeated throughout the week on the show’s 50 syndicating stations, and their affiliates.

The Roys are siblings, Lee and Elaine Roy, born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts and raised across the border in Coal Branch, New Brunswick, Canada. They are Inspirational Country Music (ICM) Award winners and International Acoustic Music Award winners, as well as having Top 10 Billboard Bluegrass Albums Chart release. Lee (along with Matthew Rogers) wrote the theme song for the popular RFD-TV program, Campfire Café. For more information, visit www.theroysonline.com.

According to their website: The Artists Music Guild was established to help in the understanding, appreciation and to advance the contributions of the arts to American culture — from the artistic genius’ of the current day; to the technical legends of the past; and to those still unimagined artistic breakthroughs of future generations. The Guild accomplishes this mission through programs and activities that engage the artistic and cultural community as well as the general public. The Guild works in partnership year-round with artists to bring national attention to important issues such as the value and impact of the arts and education. http://www.artistsmusicguild.com.
