Wharfedale Diamond 10 Series Speakers Bring Hi-Fi Sound Back To School

Bookmark and Share

Hopedale, MA, July 21, 2014 — When students go back to school, they’ll need to study hard – but when they take a break from all the hard work, what better way to unwind than to listen to music? This fall, Wharfedale offers a superb-sounding, affordable alternative to low-fi listening – the rave-reviewed Diamond Series 10.1 and Diamond 10.2 compact loudspeakers.

Whether they want to listen to their favorite playlists or are part of the growing number of vinyl enthusiasts enjoying the inviting sound of records and turntables, students will appreciate the clarity and presence the Wharfedale Diamond Series brings to music listening.

Wharfedale is Britain’s most famous speaker brand – and with good reason. The Diamond 10.1 and 10.2 (SRP: $349 per pair and $449 per pair respectively) are designed to reproduce music with detailed, dynamic and spacious sound. They employ premium components including a woven Kevlar cone woofer (a material not usually found in speakers at these price points), and a neodymium-magnet soft-dome tweeter with a specially designed diffusion grid for smooth high-frequency response.

The attractively curved and contoured cabinets are built from four layers of materials, bonded together to create acoustically optimized enclosures. Measuring just 11.7" x 7.7" x 11" with a 5-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter, the Diamond 10.1 is ideal in dorm rooms and places where space is at a premium. The 14.3" x 8.8" x 11.85" Diamond 10.2 features a 6-1/2-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter for extended bass and greater output.

Unlike most speakers, the Diamond 10 Series is designed and built by Wharfedale completely in-house, from their drivers and internal components to their striking cabinets available in Black, Cherry and Rosewood finishes, a perfect addition to a dorm room, apartment or anywhere students want to enjoy their music.

In addition to the 10.1 and 10.2, the Diamond 10 Series includes a complete lineup of floorstanding towers, center channel speakers, surround speakers, subwoofers and other models for home theater and music listening.
