THE LEGENDARY YOUNG GURU ANNOUNCED AS KEYNOTE SPEAKER FOR IMSTA FESTA TORONTO
For Immediate Release: August 6, 2014; On Saturday, September 6th, 2014, The International Music Software Trade Association (IMSTA) will be hosting its annual celebration of Music Technology event in Toronto for the first time. In partnership with the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN), the event is hosted by the RTA School of Media at Ryerson University with special guest Engineer, Professor and DJ Young Guru as the keynote speaker.
Taking place four times a year, IMSTA FESTA has successfully hosted events in Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles since 2007. With the global reach of the event, IMSTA proudly brings IMSTA FESTA to Canada at the Ryerson’s Rogers Communications Centre. The free event provides an environment for reputable music technology companies, musicians, Deejays, songwriters, audio engineers, music producers, students, educators, and the like to interact with music makers face-to-face.
IMSTA FESTA Toronto will begin at 11:00 am – 6:00 pm and present five educational and interactive panels featuring music industry professionals. The IMSTA FESTA Professional Panel Series provides an assortment of current topics about the music business, music technology, workshops, and more.
As a nonprofit international Canadian based organization, IMSTA focuses on educating music software and hardware users on the value of purchasing the products they use rather than using pirated versions of products. IMSTA FESTA helps promote their important message to ‘Buy the software you use.’
