The Pacific Autism Family Centre is so excited to announce a partnership with Music Heals and Bikers for Autism to sponsor a new vocational and music therapy space in the centre being built in Richmond BC (opening Jan. 2016). The fully operational music room will allow access to music therapy at affordable prices to individuals on the autism spectrum.

Naming rights to the music therapy room will be shared between Music Heals and Bikers For Autism based on a 10-year commitment to direct funding to the program.

"Bikers for Autism Society is extremely excited to be working in conjunction with such incredible organizations as Music Heals and Pacific Autism Family Centre to build a music therapy program that'll benefit the lives of all those on the Autism Spectrum", said BFA Chair James Baker.

“We are so excited by this partnership with these two wonderful organizations. Another first of its kind for the centre – with partners who want to make a difference!’ said PAFC chair Sergio Cocchia.

"There couldn't be a more perfect fit than that which exists between these three organizations. We are thrilled to combine forces with Bikers For Autism and Pacific Autism Family Centre to achieve our shared goals of increasing access to music therapy across the Autism spectrum at this incredible and inspiring facility." Chris Brandt, Executive Director, Music Heals

The Bikers For Autism / Music Heals music therapy room is only one room in this incredible full-service facility that will be the first of its kind in the world, with resources to manage every need of clients and their families.

The Pacific Autism Family Centre (PAFC) is a proposed centre of excellence for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. Bringing together state of the art resources for research, information, learning, assessment, treatment and support; and building capacity to address the lifespan needs of individuals with ASD, and their families across BC. The goal is to ensure that the Centre builds upon existing lifespan services while at the same time addressing the need for support and services across the province.
Serving all British Columbians is an essential feature of the PAFC.

The Centre will involve the development of a "hub and spoke/satellite" centre located in communities across the province, in collaboration with local community partners and staffed by Regional Navigators. The physical spoke centres will have full access to the expertise and information services offered in the hub location.

Bikers for Autism (BFA) Society launched in 2012 as a not-for-profit organization that combines a passion for Motorcycles with dedication to raising public awareness and funds to support Autism Centres and the families affected by autism. BFA is aiming to launch it's provincial and national support grants programs this fall that focuses on three areas: Educational Ipad program, Recreational Program in support of "Surfs Up" Surf Camp and a Music Therapy program collaboration with MusicHeals.ca and Pacific Autism Family Centre.
