Stardust Circus "Monkeys Of XXI."

July 3, 2013. 69th anniversary of liberation of Minsk from the German troops during the Second World War. This is the day when the front-runners of Belarusian Glam Rock scene Stardust Circus release their debut album entitled Monkeys of XXI.

Stardust Circus is a Belarusian Glam Rock band formed in Minsk in 2009.

It was founded by Stevie Black, whose rough, loud and aggressive guitar sound reveals the essence of Glam Rock. He was joined by another talented guitarist and songwriter J.J. That is when the first material started to appear and the bandís sound started to shape. The positions of the rhythm section were filled by drummer Max Impreza and bassist Alex Coyd. The line-up was completed by a great frontman and a true rockĎníroller Dave Loretti.

The bandís sound is often described as Glam Rock of the XXI century. It is a loud and explosive mixture of true rock íní roll embodying the best traits of old-school flavored with new tendencies. The visual concept also became an important characteristic of the band. It was inspired by the 1930s Red Army looks with moderate addition of make-up typical of Glam Rock scene.

Stardust Circus has performed intensively throughout the years of its existence in the most popular rock clubs of Minsk (Jolly Roger, Doodah King, Reactor) and beyond, won several bandsí competitions (Musical Sparring 2, Heavy Nice Day 7, RockEmotion, Emergenza 2012), were the supporting act of Russian guitar virtuoso Sergey Tabachnikov, and headlined Spring Rock Fest 2011 in Belarus and Rock Elections in Russia.

Having acquired the reputation of one of the best bands in country Stardust Circus finally released their first self-produced long-awaited LP Monkeys of XXI. Its mixing and mastering was done in Seattle, USA.

ďWith this album we would like to show that our work is much wider than the stereotyped and clichéd formula Sex, Drugs, RockíníRoll. It is about life of the streets, violence, riots, tyranny, and the dark side of rock Ďní roll. At the same time our well-recognized drive is still there, only itís become angrier, sexier and sharper,Ē says Stevie Black.

The official presentation of the album was held in the biggest club in Minsk on October 10, 2013. The fact that the gig was sold out shows that the band is only gaining momentum and is ready to reach new heights. Now it is out to conquer Europe and America. For this purpose the band is in search for a deal with a European record label to make it happen.
