Kasim To Perform On National Television And Radio Talk Show
Website: http://www.KasimOnline.com February 9, 2001 – Las Vegas – World-renowned musician, Kasim, who announced his plans for a solo tour on February 2, will be featured on the nationally syndicated television, radio and Internet talk show, Backstage Live, in March, 2001. “The people at Backstage Live are familiar with Kasim’s music. They know his background and are excited about having him on the program. When they read that Kasim was going solo, they contacted me right away,” said Kasim’s manager, Kirsten C. Ashley of MnM Management. An airdate for the program has not been announced yet. Kasim, who has performed with Utopia, Meat Loaf, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Richie Sambora, Hall & Oates and many other well-known music artists during his 25 year music career, will warm up for his spring and summer tour in two nightclub venues in his home state of New York, where one of his largest fan bases is located. Kasim will perform on April 7 and 14, 2001 at Arlene Grocery and The Bitter End respectively. “These two shows will give me a chance to personally thank many of my supporters who have stuck with me for so many years. These shows will feature material from my upcoming CD, as well as some of the songs that I’m known for from my days with Todd Rundgren and Utopia,” stated Kasim. Kasim’s official website, www.KasimOnline.com, launched on February 8. “There’s a demographic survey on the website for visitors to fill and give their feedback. The response has been really incredible,” says Kasim, “We’ve received email from supporters not just in the United States, but also from the UK, Japan, Sweden, New Zealand, Germany, Finland and Australia.” Kasim’s yet to be named CD will be released in early spring 2001. Songs on the CD will also include a collaboration with friend and fellow musician Glen Burtnik of Styx.
