Music Trumps Trump LLC has officially announced a protest date for Monday the 12th of June. It will be an online event, and viewable worldwide to anyone with a wifi and a screen. Also known as Musicians vs Trump or Musicians Against Trump, the official billing of this event will be Music Trumps Trump.

A spokesperson for Music Trumps Trump has said the event is still finalizing the roster of musicians, but they plan on having over 200 acts on board. The basis of the event have been set up including at least 5 locations that will be streaming live. The complete details for the event haven’t been entirely released, but it appears it will be a who’s who of the entertainment world.

The majority of the entertainment industry has been anti-Trump since before the reality TV star won the election in November. Protests started the day following Trump’s inauguration with the worldwide Woman’s March, and events have been continuing at a record pace. The movement now dubbed The Resistance or online as #RESISTANCE, has been led by largely by filmmaker/activist Michael Moore, and appearances by mega stars such as Madonna, John Legend, Ashley Judd, Alicia Keys, and Scarlett Johansson to name a few.

Shia LaBeouf and Luke Turner, who launched the ‘He Will Not Divide Us’ campaign. He Will Not Divide Us was a protest wall launched on Inauguration Day outside the Museum of the Moving Image in New York. The wall was relocated to a wall outside the El Rey Theater, Albuquerque, NM last month. Both LaBeouf and Turner will be on board in some capacity.

Artists confirmed and considered for the summer digital event include Bruce Springsteen, Nancy Sinatra, Jaime King, Producer Lee Daniels, Chance the Rapper, Tom Morello, Killer Mike, and more.

Also the rappers behind the hit song, “F*ck Donald Trump” YG and Nipsey Hussle. The song’s official remix features G-Eazy and Macklemore, who have both been contacted to join in the movement.

Industry insider Bob Lefsetz, former Source Magazine contributing writer Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, and other major media outlets including Rolling Stone Magazine have been tapped to help in some capacity as well.

The event is still looking for supporting acts in all corners of the US. To submit material or for press inquiries please email Anthony Goodwin at MusicTrumpsTrump@gmail.com
