New Music Weekly magazine recently announced it's 2017 New Music Award's winners, identifying artists, songs, radio stations (and their programmers), as well as industry executives in which NMA has recognized as noteworthy, ground-breaking and exceptional across multiple music genres. Ray White, Program and Managing Director of Classic Artists Today, LLC was named "College PD of the Year," which covers the Adult Album Alternative music genre, by the national music industry publication. White's Classic Artists Today was nominated for "College Station of the Year," by the publication, too.

"Selected by my peers for this honor is certainly a highlight of my career in the music industry," stated White. "For over 10 years we've developed a unique niche in radio by featuring "new" music from "classic" rock and pop bands and performers. An overwhelming majority of radio stations don't play new music from these legacy artists who have collectively sold hundreds of millions of albums and entertained billions of people throughout their careers. Classic Artists Today reconnects the artists with their long-time fans and exposes their new and "classic" music to a whole new generation of fans," White added.

2017 New Music Award's winners were determined by open ballot voting throughout the radio industry and supporting fans within the music industry. "We are thrilled to recognize this group of extraordinary artists who have struck a chord with their fans and helped to expand the boundaries of music in 2017," said Paul Loggins who is publisher of New Music Weekly magazine. "The NMA's are based on worldwide voting from the music community and demonstrates our commitment to music discovery and radio talents," states Larry Weir, editor of New Music Weekly. Other winners of this years' awards included Adele, Bruno Mars, Ed Sherran, David Bowie, Radiohead, Tim McGraw, WBHC and Columbia/Sony Records.
