Philadelphia's Premier Event Ballroom
Built in the early 1900's, the Ballroom's unique history as a former Vaudeville theater and later the Regal Movie Theatre adds to its old-Hollywood appeal. It was renamed the Regal Ballroom by present-owner, Christopher Angeli, a long-time employee who purchased the ballroom in 1999. At the age of 12, Chris joined the Ballroom as a dishwasher, walking just a few blocks to work from his childhood home in the neighborhood. Practically a second home to Chris, the Ballroom has become a true labor of love. His passion for event planning and meticulous attention to detail are evident in every celebration that takes place.
Our award-winning culinary team and event management specialists will ensure a flawless event from beginning to end. Whatever the occasion you are inspired to celebrate, we will help create an unforgettable experience for both you and your guests.
We include (1) one hour additional time prior to your reception to accommodate your ceremony service. This will include the set-up of your chapel style ceremony, drapery backdrop, unity candle table (candles not provided). The ceremony fee also includes a (1) one hour rehearsal the Wednesday or Thursday prior the wedding day. Any special decorations or floral arrangements are the responsibility of the bride & groom and must be approved by the Regal Ballroom.
The now Regal Ballroom has quite the history of a once Vaudeville then neighborhood Movie Theatre known as the Regal Theatre (circa 1935 ~ 1968) now sits as one Philadelphia's great venues with complimentary valet parking and all inclusive packages exclusively catered by Grasshopper’s Events & Gourmet Catering / owner & operator of the Regal Ballroom.
