Perth, Australia – (APRIL 18, 2019) – Elise Reitze-Swensen and Rosie Taylor hail from Perth, Australia and since 2016, make up the popular duo known as “Feels.” The duo recently walked away from SXSW 2019 after establishing themselves as the most exciting new live electronic act to ever hit the U.S. music scene. Feels have pioneered a whole new sound and set performance standards for live electronic sets. Taking their audiences through a unique auditory and visual experience whenever they perform, fans have come to expect only the extraordinary. On stage, Feels uses a four-octave electronic marimba and eleven different drum pads mastering the art of music through an entirely new way of using electronics and computers to make news sounds. There is no other band in the country that has established themselves as profoundly in performance with electronics as Feels. Their unique style of creating new sounds is unmatched anywhere in the industry.

Feels have received consistent industry respect and accolades and were personally invited by Ableton to attend Ableton Loop Berlin, undertook studio residencies in Sydney and Auckland at Red Bull HQ, as well as presenting at Ableton-user groups across Australia, New Zealand, and the USA. In 2017, Feels won the Triple J Unearthed “Listen Out” Festival competition and made their debut festival appearance. They have been vocal about their support of women and non-binary people and have continued to perform at festivals and venues throughout Australia. Since their appearance at SXSW 2019, Feels have gained an enormous amount of attention from the industry.
The duo has showcased at the 2018 Electronic Music Conference (EMC), presented a TEDxPerth talk at the Perth Concert Hall, and were amongst the first Australian bands to showcase at this year’s South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.

Feels released their first single “Prior Engagement” in 2017 in which Apple Music (Best of the Week), Spotify (Fresh Finds) and RedBull all took notice. The band has won West Australian’s Music (WAM) Best Electronic Producer and WAM’s Song of the Year in 2017. They have also won the 2018 WAM Awards for Best Electronic Producer, Best Electronic Live Act, and Label of the Year for their female-run label and booking agency, WOMPP (Women of Music Production Perth). Their single “They Need Us” received rave reviews as well.

In addition to their artist projects, Elise and Rosie have also co-founded WOMPP, which gives opportunities to female, transgender and non-binary music makers to share, discuss, and showcase music production with the Australian music community. With the success of WOMPP in Australia, the duo hopes to launch WOMPP USA in the future. The organization recently expanded to New Zealand in 2019. WOMPP is the only all-female, trans, non-binary Ableton-user group in the world.

Feels’ latest release, “Bad4me,” was written, produced and performed by Feels and features New Zealand singer/producer, MISSY. The new single uses minimal electro-pop and combines a dark undertone that explores a new sound by the group and marks their second single release of 2019, with the first being their instrumental single, “Piha”.

Feels is available for all U.S. bookings and festivals. For bookings, contact Faith Galloway at (440) 829-3055 (U.S.) or email faith.h.galloway@gmail.com.
