Cindy Nelson, BMI Recording Artist, To Release “Running With Scissors”

Cindy Nelson, International BMI recording artist, and home-grown Northern California native, is on the verge of releasing her latest song, “Running With Scissors.” This song is based on Augusten Burroughs’ best selling book of the same name, which is being made into a Oscar bound movie, starring Annette Bening, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jill Clayburgh, Joseph Fiennes, Evan Rachel Wood and Alec Baldwin. Release date for the film is October, 2006.

A pre-release of this single has been sent to the top Internet radio stations, and has already climbed to the Top 10 in many of them. The largest of these sites has this single charted at #3 with a bullet, out of the hundreds of thousands of their songs, with three more of her songs in their Top 20. “Running With Scissors“, along with the rest of her remastered album, “Hello”, has just been picked up by a United Kingdom record label, for release and distribution in the UK and Europe, and is carried by CAN Music domestically.
