Singer Songwriter Matt Hutchison Inks Management Deal With Innsbruck Records

Innsbruck Records Management welcomes Baltimore singer songwriter, Matt Hutchison, to its roster. Hutchison is promoting his new album, “Sell My Heart to the Junkman” which is available globally via iTunes.

When asked who inspired his musical style, he responded with ease “…rock greats like The Beatles, The Who, The Kinks, Radiohead and American notables Paul Simon and Buddy Holly. Matt spent three of his formative years living in England soaking up the sounds of the early British Invasion, inspiring him to infuse the melodic and artful sensibilities of British music with the raucous and carefree American style he would later come to know. His approach to songwriting is cut from the same cloth that produced the catalog of these artists. Each of the noted artists built their musical empires on a foundation deeply rooted in the popular music that came before them. Hutchison’s music sounds instantly familiar, but equally fresh and engaging.

Matt was a member of Baltimore band, Fools & Horses, whose acclaim includes being voted ‘Best Band of Baltimore’ by the readers of the Baltimore City Paper for three straight years and being named Best Modern Rock Band and Fan Favorite by the Washington Area Music Association. In addition, Fools and Horseshad the honor of having its song “The Therapy” featured on Starbucks’ compilation ‘Off the Clock,’ which sold over 30,000 copies. Television and film also embraced the band’s catalog of songs with placements on Cinema Sounds, the Playboy Channel, FUSE Network, MTV, A&E, E!, ESPN and USA.

Matt has performed at many top clubs up and down the East coast, including The Bitter End and Arlene’s Grocery, (NYC) World Café Live! and the Tin Angel, (Philadelphia, PA) The Bottle and Cork, (Dewey Beach, DE) Seacrets, (Ocean City, MD), The Rock & Roll Hotel, (Washington, DC) The Recher Theatre, Ram’s Head Live! and the Eight by Ten Club. College dates (Baltimore, MD) included Princeton University, Rutgers University, University of Miami, University of Las Vegas, Sweet Briar College, Stephen F. Austin University, Penn State, Penn Tech, SUNY, Villa Julie College, Monmouth University, Washington & Lee, University of Maryland, University of Delaware, Hood College, Mount St. Mary’s, Cabrini College, Johns Hopkins University, Randolph Macon, Catholic University, Virginia Wesleyan, Loyola College, Dickinson College and Towson University.

Matt Hutchison has had the privilege of sharing the stage with many national and regional acts including Bon Jovi, the Gin Blossoms, Live, Sister Hazel, The Knack, Carbonleaf, Graham Colton, Violent Femmes, Cowboy Mouth, The Roots, Spin Doctors, Pat McGee, Ozomatli, Nine Days, Rhett Miller, Foghat, Blue Oyster Cult and Presidents of the United States of America.
