ST. PAUL, MINN January 13, 2013 — Antonio “A&R” Richardson is always looking for ways to challenge himself in music, and production has been a natural progression for him. As an artist, he is constantly pushing himself to improve, and is unwilling to compromise his talent and vision, demanding the best from himself. A&R has taken that passion to a new level, as he begins to transition into producing himself.

On January 22, 2013 Richardson will release Re.hears.al, a collection of beats he has produced over the last year. A&R has dedicated his hip-hop career to making music that is fresh and different from the status quo. Without question, he brings that same commitment to his production.

In celebration of this release, Richardson is sponsoring a contest for emerging artists. The contest, Open Re.hears.al, invites artists to record one sixteen bar verse and hook to a beat produced by Richardson. The winner will receive five original and exclusive beats from Richardson, including the rights to use and distribution. Contest details can be found on Richardson’s website, ionlygetbetter.com.

“Music has really saved my life, I don’t know where I would be without it”, says Richardson, “Open Re.hears.al, and producing, offers me the chance to give back to the hip-hop community and provide opportunities to other artists”.

Open Re.hears.al is accepting submissions through March 1, 2013. Contest details are available at http://www.ionlygetbetter.com/p/open-rehearsal.html

RE.HEARS.AL will be available for download through his website on January 22, 2013.
