(New York, NY) The star of Broadway's Evita and rising Country Music singer Rachel Potter unveiled the video for Live the Dream in partnership with CMT's Independent's day yesterday. Now widely available for posting, the video features cameos by Evita cast members Ricky Martin, Michael Cerveris, and Max Von Essen with additional star cameos including Constantine Maroulis, Orfeh, Michael Buckley & The Vanity Belles. The video is directed by Patryk Larney and featured on Potter's debut EP, also titled Live The Dream written in collaboration with Justin York (Paramore).
Raised in the South, Potter was bitten by the music bug at a young age. Active in her church choir and influenced by musical parents, Rachel went on to be signed by contemporary Christian label Narrow Door Records at 17 and released Come Back Home in 2002. An audition for an entertainment job at Walt Disney World landed her the roles of Ariel in The Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Nemo in Finding Nemo: The Musical and a number of other shows. Moving to New York opened the door to many Broadway acting opportunities where she booked the WICKED national tour and landed the role of Wednesday Addams in THE ADDAMS FAMILY all while co-writing her EP Live The Dream.
