Primary Wave Music Signs The Go-Go's For Talent Management

Primary Wave Music, a leading independent music marketing, talent management and music publishing company, signs the iconic 80s rock band The Go-Go's for talent management. The multi-platinum rock group made history as the first, and to date only, all-female band that both wrote their own songs and played their own instruments to ever top the Billboard charts. The Go-Go's rose to fame during the early 1980s after the release of their debut album, Beauty and the Beat, which was #1 on the Billboard charts for six consecutive weeks, selling three million copies, and making it one of the most successful debut albums of all time.

"It is so gratifying to still be making music as a group, thirty-six years after our beginnings as a rag-tag, know-nothing Hollywood punk rock band! To now be represented by such an energetic and forward-thinking company as Primary Wave is both an honor and a blessing," explains The Go-Go's. "We look forward to a creative and fruitful relationship with Primary Wave and would like to thank all of our fans for their continued support!"

After three decades, The Go-Go's live show still delivers every bit of the raw energy of their now-legendary punk beginnings, tempered with the wisdom of years of pop perfection. This summer, fans can see them live as the Rock Stars hit the road to headline the ultimate 80s music experience, the "Replay America" tour, which kicks-off on July 5th in Clearwater, FL., and also features Patty Smyth of Scandal, Martha Davis and The Motels, Cutting Crew and Naked Eyes. This June, The Go-Go's will also return to the famous Hollywood Bowl, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, to be inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame, joining other luminaries such as Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, John Legend, Liza Minnelli and many more. The group made its first appearance at the Hollywood Bowl in the summer of 1982, and more recently, they performed 30 years later at the Bowl in 2012, both sold-out shows.

"The Go-Go's are the foundation of early 80s rock music and continue to be a historic example and role model for female artists today," states Deb Klein, manager at Primary Wave Music. "It is a true honor to be working with such a legendary and talented group!"

By signing with Primary Wave Music, The Go-Go's will join the talent management roster that currently includes artists such as CeeLo Green, Melissa Etheridge, Eric Benet, Deborah Cox, Ginuwine, Trevor Jackson, Cris Cab, producer/DJ Audien, as well as writers/producers Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers), and Ali Tamposi (Kelly Clarkson), among others.
