Britney Spears Producer/DJ Busted With Meth
Celebrity producer and radio personality Jeff Duran was arrested on drug- and traffic-related charges after police stopped him at a checkpoint in the San Gabriel Valley Monday morning and found he was driving with a suspended license, according to law enforcement sources.
Jeff Duran, whose real name is Jeff Dandurand, was driving a black Honda Accord with CA plates when he was stopped at the checkpoint on Cameran Street at about 3 a.m.
Police checked his driving record and found the 30-year-old deejay was driving with a license that had been suspended eight times, according to law enforcement sources.
When police went to arrest him on the suspended license charge, they searched him and found three pills wrapped in foil and methamphetamine, law enforcement sources said.
Jeff Duran was taken into custody and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operator. He's expected to be arraigned in California court later Wednesday.
An e-mail sent to a representative was not immediately returned. Information on an attorney wasn't immediately available.
Originally a child actor, Duran launched his career in the late 1990s as a radio personality on 97.1 in Los Angeles. He later created his own label, Pop Roxx, and wrote songs for Britney Spears and Phoenix Red. Duran's excessive lifestyle was the subject of the 2013 documentary 'How Embarrassing'.
