LIBERTY TUOHY is a 17 year old singer/songwriter from South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula.

Liberty is one of 2 recipients of the prestigious "Whyalla Recording Scholarship" which offers young original artists from regional South Australia the opportunity to audition for - and then win - a professional recording and distribution package valued at over $10,000.

Liberty will record her original song called "TIME STAYS THE SAME" which is based on her life experiences.

“I’m totally dedicated to my music but I’ve been lacking a professional product to sell and promote my music through. The Whyalla Recording Scholarship will now produce that,” said Liberty.

"I’ve always wanted to do music as a career, and look forward to travelling and performing wherever I can. Having a profile and professional product to take out on the road with me is a dream come true. I’m really looking forward to the whole studio experience and support WRS will offer me.”

Liberty is looking forward to performing at the Fleurieu Folk Festival in October 2018. The Fleurieu Folk Festival is South Australia's largest folk festival - an annual three-day family friendly music event held in the picturesque township of Willunga, in South Australia’s premier wine region.
